Eve Langlais:
~ New York Times and USA Today Bestseller

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

If you'd like to know more, read some excerpts or find out what I’m working on, then please visit me athttp://www.EveLanglais.com or sign up for my newsletter athttp://www.evelanglais.com/newrelease .

 Release Date: June 20
Genres: Romance/Military/New Adult

Will his call of duty break both their hearts?

Losing her father in Desert Storm has left Stephanie James with a bitter soul when it comes to the military. As a college senior juggling a full course load, Steph's only goal is to graduate with honors at the end of the semester. She’s focused, determined, and a firm believer in all work and no play. Then she meets Brandon Walker at a New Year’s Eve costume party. Despite his disguise, Steph finds herself attracted to the camouflaged soldier who curls her toes with a scorching midnight kiss.

Brandon is an engineering major and ROTC student from the hills of Kentucky. Growing up as the son of a major general has given Brandon firsthand knowledge of the struggles military families sometimes face. Now that his father’s memory is fading, Brandon is even more determined to make his dad proud and graduate as an officer in the United States Army. Then he meets Stephanie, and suddenly, his focus is less on his military service and more on the pretty brunette who has stolen his heart. When he becomes aware of Steph’s resentment toward the military, he worries their relationship is doomed.

When faced with the realization that she's fallen in love with a soldier, can Steph’s wounds from the past be healed with love in her present . . . and in her future?

Kathie's Review:

I loved Soldier On. Full disclosure: I was blessed to be on the editing team for this one.

From Brandon and Steph's first kiss, through the growing pains of a new romance, through the secrets that might keep them apart, I loved all of it.

I'm married to a Retired Air Force Captain. My daughter is dating a Marine. We know the military lifestyle. Ms. Logan nailed it. The pride, the fears, the joy to be found. Her research shines through.

There were times when I wanted to smack Brandon, and then Steph! Ah, she had such a chip, no, a BOULDER on her shoulder. She had some growing to do to whittle that down to something manageable. Reading through their growing pains had me flipping pages (well, I was reading on my kindle, so flicking through screens!) at a great rate. Their growth was a joy to read.

The supporting cast, from his sister to her mother, their friends (both young and old), and even a dog, added a depth to the book as each one played an important part. There are a couple scenes with salutes that had me in tears and a scene with a pond that had me on the edge of my seat. Well done, Ms. Logan!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sweet romance with a plot that reads real.

The Memory Healer by Julie Filarski

Happy Release Week!

The Memory Healer
by Julie Filarski

On a wet summer morning in the historical township of Port Brandon, South Eastern Australia, talented artist and psychic Beth Montgomery reluctantly agrees to carry out a psychic assessment of Carrington House. She soon becomes frightened by a string of nightmares that could be warning her not to tamper with the metaphysical. Despite her fears, she braces herself for what is to come and continues to unearth the secrets of the past.

As soon as she enters the historical home, the image of a distraught Victorian maid appears, and then a young woman manifests on the staircase. Beth is transported to another era, where a magnificent four-poster bed, an engraved watch, and an exquisite ring evoke fleeting memories. When Beth spies a calendar, the date fills her with dread, but she cannot remember why.

Returning to the present time, Beth agrees to work for the irresistible Dr Matthew Jamieson, the new vet in the district. Each time they meet, memories of another lifetime flood her heart. She senses an eternal bond between them, but with two unfaithful partners in her past, she is reluctant to become romantically involved with him.

As her passion for Matthew intensifies, she regresses to 1895. In her past life as Mary Clark, she meets the darkly handsome Samuel Methven and falls in love with him on sight. But is he as honourable as he seems? Faced with Samuel’s apparent betrayal, Beth is plagued by fears that Matthew will also be unfaithful to her. She knows that to learn the truth, she must return to her past life, but that means facing an unbearable tragedy. Does Beth have the courage to move between lifetimes and relive that dreadful event? Will she be able to discover whether her soulmate was faithful to his twin soul?

Kathie's Review:
This was interesting. Beth can slip back and forth through time. While she can't change what she sees in the past, she does experience it just as it happened. That includes the joy and the heartbreak. She remembers the past when she returns to the present.

There is a mystery here and a gentle romance. Beth's parents way back then are not the nicest of people, but her mom in this time makes up for that. Samuel was a charmer in the past, and as Matthew in the here and now, his charm has only grown.

This book isn't full of wild adventure or action packed scenes. Instead, it's a quiet romance with some heartbreak that comes full circle. The paranormal aspect made me think, which is nice in a book. It kind of bent my mind, actually.

I recommend this book for those soft, rainy days where you just want to be somewhere else. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

*Thank you, NetGalley and TWCS, for the opportunity to read The Memory Healer.

Introducing Julie
Julie Filarski’s love of reading quickly progressed to a love of writing. While writing The Memory Healer, she studied Professional Writing and Editing at Chisholm Institute in Berwick, Australia. Much of the novel was written on the train while she travelled to and from work at the University of Melbourne.

Julie first began studying the metaphysical realm in the early 1980’s. After a few sessions of Hatha yoga, she quickly became drawn to yoga philosophy and the belief in reincarnation. Since that time, Julie studied the topic in depth, as well as researching a wide range of other spiritual topics. Her studies have led her to understand that mankind has an inherent belief in immortality and that there is a deep and underlying spiritual purpose to all life.

Julie lives with her husband, Murray, near Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia. They have two children and five lovely grandchildren.
