Falling for Her Fiance (Accidentally in Love) by Cindi Madsen

Falling for Her Fiance

Accidentally in Love Series

Danielle and Wes have been best friends since college, so when Wes needs a date for his sister’s wedding and Dani needs a partner for her company’s retreat, they devise the perfect plan: a fake engagement to get through both events unscathed. Adrenaline-junkie Wes can prove to both his ex and his family that he’s well and truly moved on, and serious-minded Dani can prove to her boss that she’s worthy of the promotion he seems to only want to give to a family-oriented employee.

But amid the fake swoons, fake kisses, and forced proximity, neither expects the very real feelings that develop. There’s nothing more dangerous than falling for your best friend…but what if the landing is worth the fall?

Kathie's Review:

I'm quite fond of this trope. Wes and Dani are best friends who both need a significant other for a specific purpose. He needs to show his ex (he was the one dumped) that he's moved on. His family needs to know that, too. She needs a fiance to prove to the bosses in her firm that she's nice and steady.

They ARE best friends, so this should be easy, right? But wait, where did that SPARK come from? They both feel that the other one is still on the "friend" page, and they don't want to rock the boat. So...they keep quiet about their changing feelings. I did take a bookmark away for the many times things could have been cleared up if either one of them would have just said something. BUT...this was still fun.

The two of them are constantly betting each other $5 to do something. From riding an electronic bull, to saying something outrageous to his mother, there is always a bet going between them.

Best friends to lovers, definitely fun! I'm going to be reading more by Cindi Madsen.
